I think the reason why you cant hit spell packets away with your weapon is because at one point in time, you used to be able to, but then people started baseball bating em and they didnt want people to get hurt. ...dont quote me one that

it used ot be ok to bat them off but people were hitting them back at the caster/at other people and they would take the spell... so instead of saying you cant hit them away they said it cant touch you at all

Okay you can parry a thrown weapon due to the fact you can hit it away with a sword. I know this cause a troll parried two of my javilins. As for poison thrown weapons people better watch out for Trino he has a new game to play. But i guess bladed means no poison javilins . If i can't use javilin thrown weapons Dan i have an order. Next i don't fumble a lot with thrown weapons. I think i fumbled 2 in a year with them and that was only becuase it was dark and someone hit it away from them into another ones face. Liam throw proof all you want and massive amounts of poisons are going to be maded for trino yea!!!!!

Javelins have a point through, just like harpoons, so I think you can poison them. If not, you still have other bladed weapons to your disposal

harpoons... hmm...
A spearlike weapon with a barbed head used in hunting whales and large fish
or..
To strike, kill, or capture with or as if with a spearlike weapon.
spears have metal...metal tips, and the barbed head I cant imagine being wood, so I couldn't imagine this not working out with poisons.
so Trino, if they were harpoons, you could get away with it. and Javelins are usually metal tipped and/or have a metal shaft so they wouln't break.
would make great arguements...

just watch out about throwing the terms "spear" around. "spears" don't exisit in the realm aperantly, because when i mentioned them (i think at the last event) they just said "a what?" and no it wasn't out of ignorance.

I think we assume spear do not exist because the typical spear was either a 2 handed thrusting weapon, or held underhand one handed and thrust at the face. Since thrusting is a less safe form of combat, especially when it's the main tactic used, we ignore it.

okay just thought of this, and i was slightly confused/baffled. heres a diagram
W
X
G
myself being "W", Gravy being "G" and some random baddie (that is not unmoveable). okay both myself and Gravy are facing our Goblin (for the sake of an example) i begin to fend so it can't run past me through the arch of my sword. But Gravy repells our little friend towards me. he has to take 20 steps because of repell, but he can't come within blade length of myself because i'm fending
(now fending is suposot represent a sword moving so fast that no melee weapon or thing and penetrate it, so in reality we'd get a whole bunch of Goblin bits....almost like a blender)
, yet what would actually happen. would the goblin have to stop in front of my fending like he would for a building wall, would he have to move around me at his own discression, or would he just keep walking 'into me' ignoring the fending?
personly i like the blender idea ;D Goblin Purée anyone?
this applys to: the action knockback, knockback vial, repel, avert undead (if baddie is undead), avert beast (if baddie is animal), ect....
i doubts its ever come up before but it still makes me wonder.

I think the goblin has to stop, although I'm not sure, i've never really seen this situation before
