I'm surprised there was no thread on this yet.
I showed up late, and a lot happened, but here's the jist of Saturday night:
"Screw you Psygen!" Fight the orcs to get Dale money Win against the orcs Hashem took over the town
I'd elaborate, but you'll have to ask me later...I'm tired and it's a helluva lot to type.

Well, the reason that there was no thread is because only four from Berkeley Township went.
But it sounds interesting. When you get the chance, please tell us a bit about it. And I sort of need to have a bit of an understanding of what happened, seeing as though I'm FWAP's historian and I don't know what else to do. So whenever you get the chance, please do so. ;D

...Our future looks grim...
When I get back into town I'm so running a giant peace campaign...
NO MORE LORE AGAINST YOUR FELLOWS!!! IT'S TIME FOR ORDER!!! OUR ENEMIES LIE OUTSIDE OUR BORDERS!!! CHAOS IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!

But doesn't the use of lore against fellow tradesmen indicate that the time of Order has passed and we have entered Chaos? I am now very confused... I thought the Age threshold was one way... Oh well. Maybe we're still in the Age of Order, but if we are, it's now pretty borderline between Ages... at least I hope that it's still the Age of Order... Meh. Gravius will worry about Age thresholds later. Right now, there are more important things to worry about, like the Realm Spire...

I belive they said the turning of the age to chaos was not going to be marked by one event. At some point we'll look around and realise it was here. Tradesmen atacking other tradesmen is just one sign of the age comeing, but that has been happening for a while.

heh, last marketday was pretty frakin' boss, i'll tell you whut.
::PART 1::
early saturday night was pretty frustrating and useless to most of the tradesmen of evermoore. the only one with ANY ACTUAL power, magistrate halfdan haroldson, played by brian keny arrived late in the afternoon. you may have seen him in other weekends such as Melon's Day: The Defeat of the Nexus, or Mr. Haroldson Goes to Evermoore: The November Chill.
as we are unsponsored, we can cannot act with any officiality, and as such we held "a meeting of concerned citizens". the formerly elected guildmasters and pretty much anyone who sat down at the table discussed, with much emotion and fervor, the topics at hand. mainly, the acceptance of a treaty with the taranti emperium.
the conditions were such that we would accept a second tier rule in their empire. if you would like to put it into a more understandable earth equivalent, we would be the governors of the roman provinces. in return, they would build for us a device which would block uncontrolled travel to our realm. this device would still however, allow travel from other emperium planets. the taranti would control it and we would live in peace. we said screw you and killed the pysgen prime.
we then discussed the problem of retracted payment between the orc empire and the royal kingdom of the dale. during the month of december, the queen of the dale had struck a bargain with the orc empire, offering them supplies of grain for a very favorable price. the orc empire upon receiving the grain, withheld payment. this insult would have caused many nobles of the dale to take up arms against the orcs and spilled much blood. in the interests of peace, the magistrate decided the following:
A. the orc leadership made a binding contract with the queen of the dale. the terms of the contract were an amount of silver for an amount of grain. the queen fulfilled her part of the contract. the orc leadership had not.
B. while it was not within the power of evermoore to force said payment from the orcs, it was within his power to issue a court summons for the orcs responsible for the withholding of payment.
C. if the said parties refused to come to trial, then they could also be charged with obstruction of justice. at this point, the sheriff is allowed to use force in bringing them to their hearing.
D. because this was entirely a policing action, there would be no warlord declared. the town had no power to declare a military action against any body, anyway, so even if we wanted to, there would still be no warlord.
the affair took about three minutes to resolve. the money was retrieved, and the queen satisfied. the real danger was about to come....#nosmileys

i now continue the tale of Hashem's treachery and moral lesson.
::PART 2::
shortly after the return of the town from this police action, the tradesmen went off to their respective directions. nothing was expected and everyone was cold and tired. everyone was about to lay down and set aside their duties. that is... except for a certain number of tradesmen who were under the subservience of Hashem, the master rank wizard and elected mayor of Evermoore.
the doors to the main tavern were barred and locked. several people attempted to enter, not realizing that there was any sort of problem. they found that at least seven of the most powerful tradesmen in all of evermoore were now under the control of Hashem. these tradesmen included Master Glendal, Master Orion, Master Victor Creed, Mistress Rinnin, Mistress Katilyna Bodar-Creed, Master Sir Richter Ka-Mui and yes, even Magistrate Halfdan Haroldson. there were others, including Zanshen and Frigga. the short and sweet of it meaning that there was power in the tavern and it was all under the complete control of Hashesm.
quickly, sir alaric aracin (that's me!) called for a massive collection of forces on his cabin. it was the best place to center the forces of the town, it being the closest to the conflict and having already been equipped to defend against the roaming orcs, ogres and golbins which were harassing the town. the remaining tradesmen centered their forces there.
dakkon bright blade, played by jon zlinsky, went out to see if the kitchen/food tavern was also occupied. he found there Annassi and Blik Lostsoul, played by paulie and fred (sorry, i don't know their last names), sitting quietly and peacefully, doing whatever it is that rogues do in their spare time. dak told them of the situation and they proceeded to very efficiently secure the kitchen/food tavern (razor wire, like you wouldn't believe).
the Marauder cabin, with its ballistas and guard, held off all attacks. the net of razor wire laid down by Annassi and Blik, protected the provisions and offered a secondary sanctuary to those who needed to rest from battle. it wasn't until much later that the hostilities began to settle. Hashem called for an peace, in order to explain his actions. he revieled that what he had done was to demonstrate how the town was acting on emotions and not acting in the best interests of the realm. there could be no dissention within the tradesmen, for if there were, would that not mean that the last bastion of knowledge and justice has bowed down to frustration and ignorance? he argued that the age of chaos was, indeed, on their doorstep and if they did not change their ways, would open the door.
the subservience rituals were dismissed and immeadiately, the tempers rose. the indignation and anger made for some rash decisions. once again, just as Hashem had said, the tradesmen decided with emotion, not with intellect. Rastagar assassinated Hashem, even after the magistrate put the accused under a special guard whose sole purpose was to protect him. Rastagar further attempted to embalm him while people were watching, no less. it was promptly stopped, luckily.
the funny part is that adrian (hashem) had actually been subserviencing himself throughout the weekend, in private and then simply using the utility ritual to pass it onto others while they couldn't do anything against it. thus, does a 25 minute ritual become a 3 minute wand show.#nosmileys#nosmileys

Ah, but Piston, you forgot an entertaining scene in our little act.
HALFDAN'S STORY PART I
Halfdan was sitting in the Inn doing his service to Guildhall with Master Glendal conducting a Theorize ritual. Across the Inn were several other Tradesmen playing a rousing game of poker. Just then, a group of Master rank Tradesmen came striding into the Inn with a look of grim determination on their faces. Halfdan thought that perhaps the battle with the Orcs had turned sour and they were regrouping for another assault until one fateful moment.
Master Zeke approached the table our hero and Master Glendal were seated at. "Glendal, do you have a drink?" he asked. Glendal reached over to procure one and Zeke's mace came smashing down onto his head, spraying grey matter and blood all over Halfdan's face and tabbard. As he stood up, grasping his sword in hand and raising his arm to send electricity hurtling at his enemies, a bolt of energy struck him in the chest. He could feel his heart contract and shrivel in his chest. With a gasp, Halfdan slumped back into a chair to await his fate.
He looked over weakly as Master Orion held off the ravening horde of maddened Masters with but a buckler and broad sword. It was in that moment that Halfdan realized there was hope.
He slid out of the chair as quietly as he could and onto the floor on his belly. Checking to see that he was discovered, the young Magistrate crawled into an adjacent coat closet to wait out the masters. If, as he suspected, their target was the Guildhall Supply Box, then it would be but a few moments before he could move onto safety and retrieve help. Amid the ruckus, he could hear the voice of Mistress Friga say, as clear as the Bells of Doom, "Master, we got them all." "Excellent," replied Master Hashem.

I'd like to note that Zanshin and Friga are ALSO masters.
except Nikoli and Jonakr (who were dead in a bathroom), Hashem had captured all of the masters in town, I believe.

I know Pandora wasn't caught. Which is why we were safe. So safe no one in our cabin knew of what happened until Dak came to the cabin requesting a spirit quest.
