The Unwanting Warrior
"It's all my bloody parents fault I'm here. And it's all their fault I'm what I've become." I unbuttoned my coat and sat it next to me, along with my hat. I brought my pointer up, under to the man's chin, stroking it slowly. "And what interest should you have in my past, or would you have interest in something else of mine? Either way, you asked for my history and that's what you are going to get. Well, let's see, both of my parents were cavaliers in coventry, I know a rare sight but they existed. I also had a brother who was mundane, and my parents always favored him over I. My home was very proper. We would always have to do everything right, no fighting, no rude language, all that which I hated to watch myself over, but managed to do so while they were around. I bloody hated all of them, every last one.
So I would get together with my friends and we created a plan. We would be rich and never have to deal with any of those buggers ever again. It was abosultely brilliant, it was! We were all accepted by guildhall to apprentice and so we would find masters behind our parents backs, they all to rogues and I to a bard. We would learn with them while I should have been with a different master. I would have become such a great bard. One day I swear I will be too. I would entertain the masses, and while the audience was entranced in my performance with my singing, all my friends would pocket the lot of them." I rose to my feet running my finger down the man's neck and shoulder as I ordered a drink.
"Right, so I had the perfect plan love. If only my mother hadn't found out eavesdropping I'd have gotten away with it all. She heard me talking one day and found me out. So she set me up to leave town and begin a horrorsome apprenticeship to an overly strict warrior, in order ot make me what they consider a better person. They said something about my ideas being dishonourable and ruining the family name. So I went through a fierce apprenticeship against my own will. I returned home immediatly after learning enough to become a warrior. I was fifteen at this time and still able to learn. I was meant to go and visit the warrior in town and learn from him, but when my parents were not aware I would sneak out and take singing lessons, thus my lack of fighting skills. I got away with it until a few months ago, when they found out again. They just had to go and visit the warrior and find out that I wasn't ever there. So my parents disowned me. My whole family rid me of their lives and told me that if I ever wanted to come back to them I would have to come to this town of evermoore and reach mastery as a warrior. So I deal with it until I can return. Though, I must say I am becoming rather comfortable here." I rose again taking my drink and leaving.
And another one... i really love her story...and even more so how she words it... ive been working on her for so long i cant wait to let her roll out on the realm for all to enjoy...
