Jubei Kazu is unique. His father was a decorated war general in his youth, but in his older age gave up the way of the samurai warrior for a peaceful lifestyle as an artisan. His mother was a simple housewife. Jubei was born with the fire his father once possessed in his heart, and his skill at fourteen was unrivalled. The Kazu clan lived on the outskirts of Mongoria in a small port town called Sukodin.
December 12, Mongoria was shook by a wave of horror. Reports had been coming in that a rogue goblin faction had marched on Mongoria. Young Jubei pleaded with his father to uphold their family honor and join the ongoing battle. His father refused, "I am just a simple artisan now." Jubei fled during the night, and joined the academy. Jubei fought in the war, and war changes people. War changed young Jubei into a proud man.
June 5, a report of the goblin rogue troop moving on a small port town, named Sukodin. Jubei, who was now sixteen years old, marched with his troops into disaster. The town was blaze when they arrived, Jubei immediately went to his old home, which was already under siege an ablaze. Anger raged within Jubei as he charged through the door and into combat. He cleared the room in moments. Jubei came across his mother first, who was dead from sword wounds long before he arrived. Jubei collapsed to his knees and wept in dismay for his lost mother. There was a noise from the other room, as Jubei picked up his sword and kicked through the door. What Jubei saw there would forever change his life.
Huddled in the corner of the room was a man grasping a sword, glinting in the light with blood. Jubei’s father looked up at his son, insanity clutched his mind as he screamed, "STAY BACK!" Swinging the sword wildly in the direction of his heartbroken son. "STAY BACK DAMN YOU!" Jubei’s father screamed in madness. Jubei took a step forward, tears falling down his cheeks, "F-Father…" choked Jubei’s voice, his father stood up swinging his sword madly. Reflex took over as Jubei’s sword clashed with his fathers, deflecting it to the side. Reflex brought Jubei’s sword up. Reflex released Jubei’s father’s tortured soul from this realm.
Jubei Kazu left that night from the broken home he once grew in, his father’s blood staining his hands. The trauma of that night would haunt Jubei for years later. Jubei would be seen one day, he was estimated to be about twenty years old, and he was not alone. Jubei Kazu walked with two others and was last seen on the path towards Evermore.
