hey guys yesterday i went to a place called Mitsuwa, its a japanese market by Edgewater NJ (really north jersey) it was great. Tons of pocky and other fun japanese treats, as well as normal food (its a supermarket after all). also you can buy real japanese food there, my first real raman experience (to die for) as well as some sort of fried dumplings with rice, i forget the name. Besides the supermarket there is also a book store, all books in japanese though, though there are a couple of "learn japanese" books in the back. its funny, i saw a magazine called Ego (the japanese word for engligh, it made me happy). There is also a somewhat crafts/somewhat nick-nack store. there was some japanese style dishwear, I got a couple of things, and then theres gundam modles, tons of shoes for women (or men with small feet), incense, wall scrolls (though over priced), and some other stuff i can't really remember.
bottom line, we should go over the break, as a sort of road trip. it'll take about 2 hours or so from bayville though, but i still say its worth it. if just for the $8 huge bowl of pork ramen. along with the variety of japanese deserts, etc. Plus they sell sake.
hey vito i just thought a money making scheem too. i just realized that i bought some "Honey & Milk" Pocky, that means (since i have craft honey) we can buy a whole lot of boxes (for about 99 cents each) and then sell the boxes for 2 or so silver.
p.s. i didn't have any but they also have su-shi, oh an an itilian place to eat too...don't ask me why...
