This was quite a Hurricane for the record books. I just can't believe the chaos that Katrina has caused. Some are comparing it to that of Andrew (92) and Camille (69) as one of the most destructive natural disasters in US history. (I would have to agree, seeing as literally most of New Orleans is underwater...)
I definetely plan to send some money their way in the near future. I had clothes packed to send to them but I found out it wasn't needed.

I understand that the destruction in New Orleans and the surrounding areas is massive. And no one person could possibly help everyone. The only thing a person could do is donate to the cause at this point, be it through sending needed items, or donating to a charity. If you have donated anything to The Red Cross, or other charities directly helping with the Disaster down south, please post it here. If you are looking for a charity to donate to, may I suggest The Red Cross, since it's one of the most known.
