to the Central Regional "Bid-A-Date" Contest.
i recieved this letter this past week take a look....
"CONGRATULATIONS
YOU have been nominated by a group of your peers to be in Centrals 1st "Bid-A-Date" Contest. You must be willing to accept the conditions thats will be placed on you for this competition. The sole purpose of the contest is to raise funds for the Junior and Senior Class in an entertaining way.
The contest will be choreographed and supervised by class advisors: Mrs. ****, Mrs. & Mrs. **** [yes it says Mrs. twice] and Mrs. ****. The basic idea is to try and receive the highest bid for you (so get out there and advertise). You will be asked to accept this bid and attend a movie night with a bidding winner. NO-PRESURE. both you and the bidding winner must provide your own transportation to and from the movie theater, where tickets will be supplied for you. This contest is all in fun and you never know you might just make a new friend!
IF INTERSTED, please sign below and know you will be committed to the following dates. Initial meeting to discuess all questions, review contest/school rules, and timeline of choreographed show events will be Monday, March 21, 2005 and actual contest date - Wednesday, March 23, 2005. You must complete your date within one month of the contest date.
**EACH PARTICIPATANT WILL RECEIVE A MOVIE TICKET TO LOWES THEATER; THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE A "DREAM DATE" (LIMO TRANSPORTAITON, DINNER AND A MOVIE!"
so yeah i'm up for auction (as will vito if he decides to do it). now who else thinks this sounds like "how much money will you pay me to go out with you?" so what do people think about school fundraisers now?
