I'm going to be deleting members who have not had any activity in 7 months or more in order to keep things clean.
If you would like to keep your name (and you have not been active) please PM me or E-mail me and your name will not be deleted.
If you have been active, your account will be left alone.
I'm trying to get a realistic view of how many active members we actually have.
These changes will occur tonight at about 9-12.

Maybe you should email these people first to let them know that they are going to be deleted. You know, something like "hey! Did you forget about us! Do you not love us! Wah!"
I mean, I'd be confused if my account was deleted due to really long periods of inactivity. I'd be the type sitting there using every combination of capitals and passwords thinking "damn it! I know its one of these combinations!"

To be very truthful, I had thought about E-mailing these people, but I really thought it would sound pretty stupid asking people to be active on our site, especially if they do not want to be.
I don't really like the sound of "If you don't become active on our site, we're gonna delete you."
I don't really want to ask people to be active, but then again, I don't want inactive accounts on our boards.
Thoughts?
Edit: Also, I know these people very well. I have nothing against them. Perhaps they just are too busy with other boards, or perhaps do not want to be part of the boards at all.

I kind of liked the sound of "hey! Did you forget about us! Do you not love us! Wah!"
I'm not saying "hey, you're in active on our forum. be active or be ba-leted" I'm saying "hey, I've noticed you haven't been active in the FWAP forums. In order to ge ta better idea of traffic on the boards, inactive accounts are going to be deleted."
You know, just a heads up. I kind of view it as curtosy (cant spell check because IE is being stupid and isnt letting pop up windows to work, deal) to let people know thier accounts are being deleted, and give them some time to respond. I mean, I know fo a few people on the list who may still wanna be active.
And why do things have to be kept "clean." Is there a limit to how many members we can have?
Does reading and not posting count as "inactivity?" or is it just not logging in?

Ok, ok. I get it.
I'm going to put this on the back burner for a bit. I'll be coming up with a new way of doing this.
I have also never looked from that view before, you know, the whole "There's really no limit, so why delete them."
Perhaps deleting them is a bad idea after all. Thanks for the input, Damia!
I probably won't be deleting anything now.
