(1) Please do not arrive at camp before 5:30 PM.
The girl scouts have a summer camp program and if you are in the parking lot they will take down you liscense plate number and ask you to leave. Our rental agreement is very specific. No one at campe before 5:30 PM. If you arrive early to the area please wait in a diner near the camp.
(2) Please only place your sleeping tents in the tent areas.
(3) Easy-Up style pavalions may be placed around the Inn so long as they are decorated to look fantasy. Tents, or pavailions with ropes and stakes may not be placed around the Inn.
(4) Please read the rule book and learn the rules.
Players are using skills incorrectly and these mistakes are being passed on by observation. Over the next few months, the troupes will be making an effort to improve rules awareness, stop cheating and improve combat safety in an attempt to create a fairer, more enjoyable game .
(5) Be reminded that a Mystic Realms Troupe is run completely by volunteer adminstrators.
Every adminsitartor is doing their best within their ability to create an environment that is enjoyable and entertaining. The best thing for you to do is to help out and volunteer just a few hours of your time to make this cooperative game more fun. Nine times out of ten the problems that occur are because of a lack of manpower.
(6) Loving Mystic Realms is not enough, you have to be willing to contribute some effort.
MR is not a gas station, you can't pull in a shout to the attendant, "Fill me up on fun!" You will only get out of MR what you put into it.
(7) Please help us change the game culture back to a more cooperative game where everyone works together and no one is cruel to another. Ask Amy W., Pete C, Fred H., Eric H, or Jen G. how to get involved.
Please get involved as part of the team. Be a cast member or an administrator (there's enough positions and assistants for almost everyone in the troupe to earn EXTRA status). If you do this MR will be a better expereince for you becuase you will be able to directly impact how this game is run. Things you and your friends don't like can be improved.
(8) MR realm just hosted its first live-action Super Heros event. Spandex, gadget gizmos, web slinging and a giant blob!
Next month we will be hosting a Science Fiction Futures event! Laser guns, hover vehicles, gun turrents and power armor!
(9) Next year, we will be publishing our table-top rules! They simulate the live-action system with surprising accuracy. The systems just for those days when you really want MR, but the next live-action event is still a few weeks away. I am looking for Table-Top play testers for some final play testing.
(10) Some people will not be joining us in July. Maybe they will never come back. They were asked to leave MR for various reasons including continued abusiveness to other participants, player versus player activity in the Realm of the Five, and status theft. This was not a spur of the moment decision on my part, but the result of many months of toleration and failed discussions. I know many people are confused and frustrated and with all the shouting its easy to obscure the real issues.
(11) If any participant in the game wishes to discuss the removals or any other subject please call me at (856) 430-0716. If I don't pick up, leave a message with your number. I'll call you back.
